Letter book (carbon copies), 1902-1904, of John M. Davies, Froodvale, relating to his office as high sheriff of co. Carmarthen. Some of the letters are in the hand of John Parry, Froodvale. G. Hughes, Carmarthen, 1839 (requesting a valuation of timber on farms purchased by the writer), J. Also included in the group are a copy of a letter from D[avid] Davies to Morris Sayce, Kington, 1836 (comments on the terms of a lease); an undated draft letter from [David Davies] to [Sir David Davies?] ( the writer's opposition to an advance in the tithes of Talley); a statement, 1841, from Charles Bishop, Llandovery, to David Davies of the amount due from the latter for his proportion of the expense of tithe commutation in the parish of Llandilofawr, together with a receipt, 1842, for the same; and undated particulars of the tithe commutation of David Davies in respect of Talyfan and Mount in Llandilo[-fawr].

A bill of costs, 1814-1822, of Daniel Price, administrator of the effects of Thomas Price, deceased, to L. Price Jones, Glanyrannell, touching the exchange of the latter's estate of Glanbrane in co. Glamorgan for Glanyrannell, Brondilo, Island, Maestwynog, and Ynis, being copyhold property of Captain [ ] Jones, brother of L. P. Jones, in the manor of Talley, co. Carmarthen; accounts, 1825-1838, touching the sale of properties of L. P. Jones; and an account by David Davies to Lewis Pryse Jones of receipts and payments made at Glanyrannell from 1 March to 30 September, 1837.

Jones, Llandovery, to [ David Dav]ies, [Froo]dvale, 1829 (the payment of money to mortgagees) ( together with a receipt by the writer) (mutilated); a holograph letter on behalf of [John] Powell, Brecon, to David Davies, Froodvale, 1829 (the payment of interest due from Lewis Price Jones); and a holograph letter from M. Anne Philipps, Carmarthen (endorsed 'Mrs. John Philipps, Llandilo '), to [David] Davies, Froodvale, 1834 (the purchase of property by the writer).
