Fifteen holograph and autograph letters from Dan[ie]l Price, Talley, to David Davies, Frwdfale, 1820-1840 (a request for birch plants, legal matters including the conveyance of Trewayn [in Llansawel], the specifications of a house to be built by the writer at Trewayn, the tithe apportionment of Conwil Gaio and Llanycrwys) (with one draft reply from David Davies, 1840); and four holograph and autograph letters from W[alter] O. Price, Llandilo, to David Davies, 1829-1832 (the sale of Llethermawr, etc., [in Llandilo] to Lord R[obert] Seymour [of Taliaris] and the valuation of timber thereon, a request to arbitrate in a dispute between two of the writer's tenants).

Sixteen holograph letters from J. Lewis, Ashton Vicarage [Bristol], etc., to David Davies, Froodvale, 1822-1835 (money matters and the recipient's management of the writer's two farms Cefntellch and Bryntelich [in Cynwil Gaeo], the writer's engagement as servant of the boy at Nyssau [Ynysau] Gate, the opinion of the writer's brother Thomas Lewis on a claim made against Evan John, a request for a supply of ale to be provided for the writer at Bryntelich, the commission and military service of the writer's son Charles, a gift of rum and gin to the recipient, the death of the recipient's father, specifications of a cottage to be erected for a labourer at Bryntelich, the marriage of the writer's daughter, a proposed reduction in the number of excisemen, rioting in the recipient's neighbourhood, the 'turbulent state' of Carmarthenshire and the Boroughs following the parliamentary elections [of 1832], the birth of a son [John Morgan Davies] to the recipient); and one holograph letter from George Horton, Ashton Vicarage, to [David] Davies, 182[ ] (a change in the political atmosphere with regard to 'our Question') (with an addition by J. Lewis acknowledging the receipt of bills).

Thirteen holograph letters addressed to David Davies. The writers include Anne Davies, Llwyn [Llan-y-crwys] [1838] (the Brunant affair), Benjamin] Davies, University Coll[ege] Hospital, London, the recipient's son, undated (2) (the progress of the writer's medical studies, personal), and [Sir] D[avid] Davies [surgeon], Hampton [near London], etc., 1827-1848 (10) ( the recipient's management of the Rhosybedw [Llan-y-crwys] estate, the claim of Mr. Lloyd of Brunant [for the payment of principal and interest on a bond executed by Lewis Price of Rhosybedw], the writer's voyage to Malta, Mr. Morgan's reluctance to produce title-deeds [of the Llwyn estate ], a nuisance caused to the writer's premises in Llandovery by the erection of a school house, the writer's proposed visit to Wales, the visit of the recipient's daughter [Anne] to London). The group also includes two draft letters from David Davies to Sir David Davies, 1838-1848 (the claim of Mr. Lloyd of Brunant, Rhosybedw rents and accounts).

Hill & Heald, London, to John Morgan, solicitor, Llandovery, 1848, relating to the same), Henry Jones [of Llwyn], from Abermeurig, undated (2) (money matters, rumours of a discovery in London of a box belonging to an old woman at Cayo and supposed to contain gold), [the Reverend] Richard Jones, Llanyblodwel, etc., 1846-1848 and undated (8) (one addressed to his brother Henry) (the management of the Llwyn estate, Sir David Davies's opinion of the writer, the success of the writer's son, the progress of the Llandovery Institution and its contribution to education in Wales), George Lloyd, Brunant, 1838 (3) (the writer's claim for payment of principal and interest on a bond), J. E. Morgan [niece of Sir David Davies], Berkeley Street [Berkeley Square, London], [1848] and undated (2) (money matters, thanks for a couple of woodcocks, the illness of the writer's cousin), and Josh. Tyler, Grays Inn, 1838 (an opinion on Mr. Lloyd's claim).

Nine holograph letters to David Davies, Froodfale, from L[eyson] O. Lewis, from Llandilo, [1821]-1825 (4) (money matters, the receipt of rents, the probate of the will of Jno. Davies), Thos. Lewis, Llandilo, 1820-1825 (4) ( money matters, the possibility of an action by the recipient against exciseman O. Bowen, the death of Mr. Leyson Lewis's clerk Mr. Webber, the rents of Cynyllbach and Tyle Howell), and Wm. Lewis, Llanaeron, 1823 (the ' filling up' of [Twrch] bridge and the right to dig for gravel on one side of it).

Sixty-seven holograph and autograph letters from L. P. Jones, from Weston- super-Mare, Bath, Melksham, etc., to David Davies, Froodvale, 1824-[1837] ( the recipient's management of the writer's estate in Carmarthenshire, with some references to the Carmarthenshire parliamentary elections of 1832 and 1835 and the writer's political opinions, to a survey of the writer's coal in Glamorgan, to the tithe question in Talley, etc.), together with a few copy and draft replies. At the end of MS. 11773 are holograph letters to David Davies from Thos. Morgan, Merdy, 1835 (an offer for the tenancy of Glanyranell), Messrs. Perkins & Frampton, 1 Grays Inn Square [London], 1835 (requiring the engrossment of an enclosed affidavit by the recipient touching the valuation of estates to be mortgaged by L. P. Jones), and Thos. Thomas and Messrs. L. & T. Thomas, Swansea, 1825 (abstracts of title of properties of L. P. Jones), a copy letter from David Davies to Messrs. Jones & Powell, Brecon, 1834 (answers to queries touching estates to be mortgaged by L. P. Jones), etc.

Jones, Llandovery, to [ David Dav]ies, [Froo]dvale, 1829 (the payment of money to mortgagees) ( together with a receipt by the writer) (mutilated); a holograph letter on behalf of [John] Powell, Brecon, to David Davies, Froodvale, 1829 (the payment of interest due from Lewis Price Jones); and a holograph letter from M. Anne Philipps, Carmarthen (endorsed 'Mrs. John Philipps, Llandilo '), to [David] Davies, Froodvale, 1834 (the purchase of property by the writer).
