A true & p[er]fect Rentroll of dame Mary Myddelton her Joynture & lands bought by her for Mr. Rob[er]t & Richard Myddelton for the yeares 1671 & 1672. Mary Myddelton, née Napier (1598-1675), was the second wife of Sir Thomas Myddelton, second knight (1586-1667).

Lead mine accounts, &c.

A pocket book used originally, 1669-1675, by Richard Myddelton (afterwards 3rd bart) (1655-1716) to record accounts relating to lead works at Ysceifiog, Penrhyn-du, Maesafon and Penypwll, and later, 1694-1716, used by Robert Myddelton (1678-1733) of Chirk Castle to record miscellaneous financial and other memoranda; also a note on the manor of Langhorne, Cheshire by Sir William Myddelton, 4th bart (1694-1718).

Inventory

An inventory of all household goods in Chirk Castle and that belonging to John Myddelton (1685-1747) in June 1741, with some other additions by John Rees, Robert Simon and one Mr Eyton. The furniture, etc. is listed under the appropriate rooms and is followed by a list of the contents of the Castle gardens, smithy, slaughter house, etc. and by an inventory of the horses, cattle, swine and sheep.

Disbursements

An account book of disbursements, 1745/6-1755, to the use of the commissioners of Mrs Ann Myddelton, daughter of Sir James Reade, bart, and widow of Robert Myddelton (1678-1733) of Chirk Castle, Recorder of Shrewsbury.
