Correspondence, 1810-1924, of the related families of Williams, of Caernarfon, and Churchill, of Llanfaglan and Caernarfon, including letters addressed to Robert Williams, Sr, solicitor, [c. 1835]-1837 (ff. 97-100), his wife Mrs Robert Williams, 1823-[c. 1840] (ff. 92-93, 101-102), and Thomas Churchill, Militia Paymaster, 1831 (f. 96); letters from Thomas Churchill to his daughter Emma (wife of Robert Williams, Jr (1822-1874)), 1876-1879 (ff. 107-108, 110-113), and granddaughter E[mma] F[leming] Williams, 1878 (f. 109); and letters, 1907-1924, addressed to Emma Fleming Williams, mainly concerning Oliver Cromwell (ff. 114-119).

A collection of papers, 1797-1924, relating to Mary Williams of Llanfihangel-ar-arth, the Bettiss family of Caernarfon and the Williams and Churchill families of Caernarfon, brought together by the dealer and collector Edward Hall, Surbiton.
Also included are notes on the contents of the manuscript, compiled at NLW, [?1958] (ff. 1-2), and notes by Edward Hall appended to individual items (27 ff., not foliated).

Thirty-three letters, 1810-1818, addressed to Mary Bettiss, of the Sportsman's Inn, Caernarfon (ff. 21-72, 75-85), including twenty-five, 1810-1814, from Mrs M[artha] Humphreys, Glan Conwy, [Llanrwst] (ff. 22-70); together with a few miscellaneous papers relating to her brother George Bettiss, 1815-1820 (ff. 86-89).
Also included is a letter to Martha Humphreys from her farm bailiff Sylvester McEvoy, 1814 (ff. 73-74), and notes by Edward Hall appended to individual items (13 ff., not foliated).

Correspondence, [1797]-1799, of Miss Mary Williams, Llanfihangel-ar-Arth, Carmarthenshire, comprising seven love-letters to her from the Rev. William Morgan of Llanddewi Velfrey, Pembrokeshire, 1798-1799 (ff. 7-20), as well as drafts of letters, [?1798], from her to her father (ff. 1-3), [?William Morgan] (ff. 4-5), and her sister (f. 6).
