The papers include a typescript copy of a thesis by Horace Morgan on 'The history of religion in the parish of Ystradgynlais: a study in proletarian culture', together with manuscript and typescript drafts of parts of the thesis, and notes on the religious, educational, literary, social and agrarian history of Ystradgynlais; drafts of lectures and articles; typescript of an article 'The passing of the old canal at Ystradgynlais'; a notebook containing essays on Beulah Baptist chapel, Cwm-twrch, and other causes in the area and a list of baptisms, new members and burials at Beulah chapel, 1899-1928; a photostat copy of pages from Harleian MS 595 in the British Museum; and a typescript copy of a transcript of an interview with Horace Morgan by Dr Hywel Francis, 9 January 1974.
