Research papers of Kenneth E. Skinner, 1911-1979, mainly notes, photocopies and manuscript and typescript transcripts of unpublished material collected by Dr Skinner while undertaking research in Britain and Argentina for his doctoral thesis 'The relationship between the Welsh colonies in Chubut and the Argentine government'; printed material and periodicals, 1921-1979; and a photograph album of views of Chubut.

The papers(22 files) consist mainly of notes, photocopies, and manuscript and typescript transcripts of published and unpublished sources, in Spanish, Welsh and English, consulted by Kenneth Skinner in Britain and Argentina, now arranged in files numbered 1-22. These include archives held privately in Argentina, notably those of Sra Olivia Hughes de Mulhall, Trelew (no. 1), Sr Glyn Ceiriog Hughes, Trelew (no. 2), and Sr D O Williams, Temperley (no. 3), together with an original notebook, [?1910s], of Edward J Williams, Trelew (no. 4); archives held in Buenos Aires in the Archivo General de la Nación, (nos 6-7), Biblioteca Nacional (no. 8), Archivo de Ministerio de Guerra y Marina (no. 9), Museo Histórico (no. 10), Casa del Chubut (no. 11); in Chubut in the Archivo de la Municipalidad de Rawson (no. 12), Archivo de la Municipalidad de Gaiman (no. 13), Archivo de la Gobernación del Chubut, Rawson (no. 14), Museo Regional de Gaiman (no. 15), and Biblioteca Popular Agustín Alvarez, Trelew (no. 16); and archives held in the University College of North Wales, Bangor (no. 17). Also included are a few printed materials collected by Kenneth Skinner, comprising a published album of photographic views of Chubut, 1911; odd copies of Y Drafod, 1921-65; and copies of periodicals in Spanish, 1954-1979, containing articles on the history of the Welsh settlement in Patagonia (no. 22).
