A group of notebooks containing the original manuscript of a commentary on the New Testament by the Reverend Thomas Phillips, D.D., Neuadd-lwyd, Cardiganshire, entitled Esboniad Byr ar y Testament Newydd (Carmarthen, 1831). Pages 369-70 and 464-5, containing the commentary on the Gospel of Saint John xx, 30-31, and xxi, 1-14, and Acts of the Apostles xx, 1-17, are wanting. Inset is a printed prospectus of the commentary, dated 22 March, 1828.
