On ff. 15a-16a is a transcript of 'Ymddiddan Arthur a'r Eryr'. Six of the seven unnumbered folios at the beginning contain a list of contents by, and in the autograph of Lewis Morris, who has also supplied or augmented the titles of some of the poems and added copious marginal notes to explain the text and correct some errors of transcription. Sections both at the beginning and at the end of the volume were lost before it was bound in its present form. The volume also includes translation into English, made by J. K[yrle] F[letcher] of the list of contents compiled by Lewis Morris. The original pagination indicates that 48 folios are wanting at the beginning. The revised pagination is in the autograph of Lewis Morris. Most of the folios were at one time mutilated at the edges, but many have been repaired and the missing text supplied by Lewis Morris. This volume was formerly in the possession of Sir Bernard Bosanquet, Justice of the Common Pleas (died 1848), and was one of sixteen Welsh manuscripts from the Dingestow Court Library offered for sale by Messrs Sotheby in July 1916. It was purchased by J. Kyrle Fletcher, Newport, on behalf of Albert Addams-Williams, Llangibby Castle. Inserted in the volume are a short description of the Welsh manuscripts at Dingestow Court, in the form of a cutting from Messrs Sotheby's sale catalogue and a letter, 18 July 1916, from J. Kyrle Fletcher to Captain Albert [Addams]-Williams, giving an account of the sale. It appears from this letter and from the notes he has written in the margin of the cutting that Mr Kyrle Fletcher was under the mistaken impression that this volume was in the autograph of Llywelyn Sion of Llangewydd. Paper 7 un-numbered folios, ff.1-177; 191x128; full Russia with blind tooling, damaged at the spine.
