Leases of Powis Castle demesne following forfeiture; papers concerning Castle Island estate following the rebellion including transfer of planters to Munster; disturbance ar the borough court of Llanfyllin and obstructing owners of forfeited estate from holding manorial courts.

Court leet of the borough of Pool,

The records of the court comprise proceedings, 1655-1819, estreats, 1663-1846, and alienation fee accounts, 1811-1834. The leet courts were generally held at the Guild or Town Hall except Easter 1766-Michaelmas 1779, when it was held either at the Royal Oak or the Castle Inn, and in Easter and Michaelmas 1798 'at the Record Office' in the town of Pool.

The town and liberty of Pool comprised the following townships: Welshtown and Trefnant Vechan; Trelydan and Gungrog Vechan; Varchoel; Guilsfield; Tirymynych; Garth; Llanerchrochwell; Gaire; Moydog; Hodan and Dole; Sylvane; Coom Garror and Castell; Trefnant; Brithdir; Stretalvedan; Tyddin Preed Dysserth; Trallwng-gollen; Llanerchudol; Hope; Cletterwood; Hendrehen; Llan and Trowscoed, Trewern, Trehelyg; Gungrog Vawr. The extant Quarter Session records comprise estreats, 1672-1691, and files and papers, 1706-1721. The quarter sesssions were held at the Guildhall before the bailiffs of the borough as authorised by its governing charter of 1615.

Manor or borough of Mawddwy,

The manor comprised ten townships: Cowarch, Pennant, Mallwyd, Llanerchfyda, Cerrist, Maesglassery, Cwmcewydd, Gartheiniog, Camlan, Dugoed. Courts were held 'at the court house' in Dinas Mawddwy.

Lordship and rectory of Oswestry and the manors of Dupart and Traean,

An exchange of Roger's Tenement from Robert Lloyd to Henry Arthur, earl of Powis 1for a seat in Oswestry Church and a fee farm rent of £5.5.0 from the said earl to the said Robert, dated 25 March 1762, and deed to make a tenant to the precipe for suffering a recovery of Shropshire estates, Oswestry and Chirbury, dated 23 Jan. 1777, both listed as being part of this parcel, in 'Powis Castle Estate Register of Muniments of Title'(now DA1)are no longer extant, at least not in the present parcel.
