Ystrad. Request for support in the forthcoming borough election, and declaring himself in favour of the Reform Bill without compromising the rights of absent burgesses. [See L4103]. [He subsequently voted against the Bill in Parliament]. Inside is a forwarding letter from J. J's wife commenting on the election and stating that Captain Philipps of Cwmgwilli intends standing against John Jones of Ystrad. She also includes a copy of Sir James Hamlyn Williams's election address.
