The file comprises transcripts of letters by Michael Holroyd of letters written by Augustus John to his daughters Poppet Pol, 1930, and Amaryllis Marie-Louise Fleming, 1948-1960, with an invitation to the latter's memorial service and reception at the Church of St Bartholomew The Great, Smithfield, London, 29 November 1999; photocopies of letters, [?1955], 1957 and [?1961], from Augustus John to Poppet Pol; together with extracts from letters from Augustus John to Poppet, 1923 and 1928; and photocopies of letters, 1958-[1961], written to his daughter Zoë Hicks and of letters, 1923, relating to her welfare from Seymour Leslie, her temporary guardian.
