Memorandums

A large notebook labelled 'Memorandums' containing a list of the persons lost in the Abermenai ferry boat disaster, 5 December 1785, copied from a list lent to J. H. Williams by Mr Thos Williams, son of Hugh Williams of Tynllwydan, the only person who escaped alive, and an extract from a letter in the Chester Chronicle, 23 December 1785, and memoranda (chiefly births, marriages and deaths largely of Anglesey and Caernarvonshire interest), 1789-1860, transcribed from newspapers and other sources by the Rev. John Hughes Williams, rector of Llangadwaladr.
A note in pencil inside the cover reads 'Began - Oct. 15 - 1832'.

A volume containing memoranda, chiefly births, marriages, and deaths for 1796-1837, probably in the autograph of the Rev. John Hughes Williams (d. 1868, aged 72), rector of Llangadwaladr, 1824-68.
A note in pencil inside the cover reads 'began this book 30th March 1819'. At the reverse end are 'Observations on the Welsh text of the Bible Copied from the Rev. C. Williams's Book - lettd Anacreontica Graeca'.
