Albums of press cuttings (from the Central Glamorgan Gazette, Chronicle for South and Mid-Glamorgan, Barry Herald, etc.) compiled by 'Ioan Trithyd'. They consist largely of the compiler's own press contributions, in the form of poetry of local interest, 'Llith yr Hen Bacman', 'Llith Wmffra Llwyd', 'Ymweliad a Llanwrtyd', 'Hanes Llantrithyd ...', etc.

A pocket-book, 1829-55, of John Davies (b. c. 1804), Quarry, parish of Clydau, co. Pembroke, shoemaker, mainly recording names of preachers, with texts of sermons, at Pontgarreg, Cenarth, and other Calvinistic Methodist chapels, as well as at Association and other CM meetings, in counties Carmarthen and Pembroke, together with occasional references to family and local events. The volume also includes transcripts of hymns and other verse, and other miscellaneous memoranda.

A volume containing poetry, mostly in Welsh, by William Edwards ('Cynlaisfab', d. 1920s), Glantawe, Ystradgynlais, co. Brecon, and afterwards of Blaengwynfi, co. Glamorgan, composed 1869-1920 and including poems entered for competition at local eisteddfodau. An index to the poems is included on the front and back covers and end-papers.

Owen ('Meirig Wyn o Wynedd'), Pentrefoelas [after 1855]; an adjudication by [Thomas jones] ('Glan Alun'), William Williams ('Creuddynfab'), and [John Ceiriog Hughes] ('Ceiriog'); a press contribution entitled 'Blagur Llenyddol' by [Henry Rowlands] ('Henri Myllin'); and a holograph letter from [John Jones] ('Talhaiarn'), from Battlesden, Woburn, to [John Owen] ('Owain Alaw'), 1863 (the publication of 'penillion').

A collection of holograph poems and press cuttings of prose and verse by Robert Isaac Jones ('Alltud Eifion'), with some autobiographical data. The volume is described by the compiler as his second book - 'Ail Lyfr Barddoniaeth Alltud Eifion' - and was begun in 1874.

An 'awdl' entitled 'Gobaith', written for the Caernarvon national eisteddfod, 1886.

A notebook of William Davies, Froodvale (Ffrwdfâl), bound in brown paper and inscribed 'W. Davies, Ph. D. April 12, 1846'. It contains extracts from expositary notes on scripture and notes of sermons, 1846-9 and undated, preached at Park[-y-rhos], Crug[-y-bar], Esger[dawe] and Rhydybont Congregational churches and at farmhouses called Penrhiwe and Tynypyllau in the Cynwyl Gaeo area, Carmarthenshire; poetry in Welsh and English, 1847 and undated, titles which include: 'To Rev. D[avid] E[vans, rector of] Kilgerran', 'On the Marriage of Rev. M. Jones R[ural] Dean', and 'To Tegid' [i.e. John Jones ('Ioan Tegid')], etc.; a few particulars of 'Pubs', i.e. preaching publications, mainly in Pembrokeshire, June-July 1847; and memoranda of curricula at Brecon [Independent] and Carm[arthen Presbyterian] Colleges 1846, and of book titles, of personal addresses, etc.

A composite manuscript in the hand of D. Silvan Evans containing 'Penillion', numbered 83-93, being a continuation of the series ending on page 111 of Ysten Sioned (Aberystwyth, 1882), and inscribed 'sent off to 89 (inclusive) Dec. 4, 1883' (no. 93 taken from the Oswestry Advertizer, 29 November 1882), together with one additional unnumbered stanza ('The two last line [sic] by D. S. E.'); some Welsh dictionary material, in the form of 'cywydd' couplets and other quotations, illustrating the use of words beginning mainly with the letter C ; and transcripts of free metre poetry by Dafydd o'r Nant and Syr Huw Dafydd ('O Gelli Gaer').

A scrap-book compiled by John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') containing poetry in strict and free metres by poets from Caernarfonshire. A volume written almost entirely in the autograph of John Roberts ('Siôn Lleyn'; 1749-1817) containing poetry largely of his own composition, with some items by other poets. The volume is in two sections and there is a list of contents at the beginning covering pp. 1-145 in the first section. The wording on the title-page is 'Trysorfa yr Awen sef Casgliad o Ganiadau, Sion Lleyn, 1787,' but some of the items are of later date. The other poets represented are David Thomas ('Dafydd Ddu o'r Eryri'), Robert Prich[ar]d (Robert Prichiard Sion,'Robin'r Aber'), T[h]om[a]s Edward[s] Nant, D. The volume contains some notes in the autograph of John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'), press cuttings and also a copy (printed) of Marwnad, neu Goffadwriaeth y Brawd Robert Roberts, o Sir Gaernarfon : yr hwn a ymadawodd â'r Byd hwn Tachwedd 28, 1802. A notebook with clasp used as a commonplace-book by John Peter ('Ioan Pedr') c. 1851-56. The contents include 'englynion' headed 'Cyngor Goronwy Owain i Ellis y Cowper', verses entitled 'L'antienne Nationale' with a Welsh translation, the Lord's Prayer written in several languages, items of verse by [Thomas Edwards] 'Twm o'r Nant', [Walter Davies] 'Gwallter Mechain', [Elis Roberts] Ellis Cowper [sic], [Owen Griffith] Y. Meirion, Huw Morys, Glyn Ceiriog and R. Davis, Nantglyn 'y teiliwr', etc., 'Traddiad [sic] o hanes Gwr Caer-Gai Llanuwchlyn', translations into Welsh of extracts from Rousseau, Le Sage, Pascal, Descartes, etc., observations entitled 'Taith "o'm hamgylch fy hunan", vocabularies and grammatical notes.
