A manuscript music book, [?1820s], belonging to a Mrs Fletcher, containing arrangements of eight Welsh folk-tunes for harp or pianoforte.

Tune book, 1823-9, compiled by Juliana Isabella Mary Pennant (1808-42) of Penrhyn Castle, co. Caernarfon, first wife of Edward Gordon Douglas-Pennant, first baron Penrhyn of Llandegai, containing contemporarily fashionable music, mostly dances, a few songs (words in English, French and Italian). The only Welsh tune is 'Sweet Richard' (p. 19). Includes two nursery songs, 'Anthony Rowley' (p. 34) and 'Little Bo Peep' with words (p. 35). The sources are noted for some pieces, e.g. 'Llanidan ... 1826' (pp. 37 and 38), 'C. Ma C. St Petersburg ... 1829' (p. 69).

A manuscript music book, with some annotations in pencil, containing lessons, songs, dances and airs for the harp in the hand of Elizabeth Giffard (1766-1842) of Nerquis Hall, Flintshire (for Elizabeth Giffard's dates of birth and death see e.g. Peter Howell Williams, 'Elizabeth Giffard of Nerquis Hall' in Hanes Bro Clwyd, 27 (Autumn 1991), pp. 2-11; cf. her signature in NLW Caerhun collection, 240-1, and in her will (NLW SA 1844/158)).
The title of each work and, in some cases, the name of the composer, is noted for each piece. Several of the pieces (pp. 17, 24, 26, 29, 30, 33, 39, 66 (titled the 'Nerquis March'), 69, 75, 89) are by Benjamin Cunnah (will proved 1840), organist of Ruabon, Denbighshire, and composer of New Welch Music: Consisting of Three Sonatas, Chase Minuets, Siciliano, Rondos, Marches, Airs with Variations for the Harp or Piano Forte (London, 18--). Several Welsh airs are included (pp. 10, 12, 21 ('Ar Hyd y Nos'), 22 ('Codiad yr Ehedydd'), 23 ('Nos Galan'), 25 ('Pen y Rhaw'), 71 ('Ar Hyd y Nos'), 84-85 ('The March of [the] Men of Harlech'), 280-1 ('Morfa Rhuddlan')). Above the piece entitled 'Midnight Cerus' (p. 89) Elizabeth Giffard has noted 'Blowed June 29 1807 at Nerquis Hall'. At the end of the volume (pp. 278-286) are some technical exercises for the harp together with instructions for tuning the instrument and for pedalling. The tune book of David Lewis (? of Bryncrug, Merioneth), c. 1840.

Tune book, compiled 1812-1821 (watermark 1810), containing psalm tunes, music for a funeral anthem (ff. 4 verso-6), and hymn-tunes, noted in the hands of Edward Maesgwynne [?p. Llanboidy, Carmarthenshire], 1812 (f. 3), John Phillips, 1820 (f. 22) and Richard Jones Phillips, 1821 (f. 6). The volume belonged to John Phillips of Penrallt kibier [Pen yr Allt Ceibwr, p. St Dogmael's, Pembrokeshire] (inside rear cover). Two tunes - Pleasant Morning and New Durham - are accompanied by Welsh words (ff. 6 verso-8).
The source of one tune is noted as 'David Morgan's Book 1820' (f. 3 verso), and the authorship of two tunes - Abergeleu and Wonderful - is ascribed to the same individual, 1820 (ff. 16 verso, 18 verso, 19 verso). David Morgan may possibly be identified as Dafydd Siencyn Morgan (1752-1844), the Cardiganshire precentor and composer.

A book of hymn-tunes and psalm-tunes belonging to Morgan Price, boot- and shoe-maker, Llangamarch, 1821, containing a miscellaneous collection of tunes, notes of preachers and their texts at Gwarwydd, 27-8 August 1817, and English and Welsh versions of an African hymn.

A collection of hymn-tunes, anthems and miscellaneous songs compiled apparently in the Llanbrynmair district. The tunes are mostly anonymous but there are items ascribed to the Reverend J[ohn] D[avid] Edwards, John Ashton, Trefeglwys, W[illiam] Owen [Prysgol], J[oseph] D[avid] Jones, 1851, and D. P. Price, Cazenovia.

Two of the compositions are written to words by Samuel Roberts ('S. R.'), Llanbryn-mair, and one to words by (Lewis (or Llewelyn?) Edwards] 'Llewelyn Twrog'.
