Collection of ballads and airs

The file comprises a bound volume of mainly nineteenth-century miscellaneous printed ballads and airs, occasionally interspersed with manuscript music. Most, if not all, of the items appear to have once belonged to the Victorian actress, Helen Faucit, whose name is frequently endorsed on the title pages, together with the year 1838. The works are indexed alphabetically at the beginning of the volume.
