Sharman), with a profit and loss account, 1944-5, at the reverse end, and also transcripts by J. R. Hughes, (?) 1956, of extracts (abstracted) from co. Mer. Quarter Sessions Rolls, 1733-1753. Loose papers include a plan (copy) of houses for Ben Thomas & Co. [at] Pen-y-Dre, Rhiwbina.

A foolscap-size notebook marked 'Archaeology Lectures at Risca, 1950-51-52', containing notes by J. R. Hughes, largely in pencil. There are a few later entries on local history (concerning Plas y Pentre, Trefor, Llangollen, and Eglwys Fach, Gogledd Ceredigion, etc.). At the reverse end are some notes on Col. John Jones, the Regicide. There are also a number of loose papers and cuttings.
