?Holograph copies of the words and music of two songs entitled 'Y Llyn' and 'Y Môr', both the words and music being by [Hugh Davies, 1853- ] 'Alltud yr Andes'; press cuttings containing poems by the said Hugh Davies; and a holograph letter from R. E. Jones (nephew of Hugh Davies), Cynwyd, Corwen, to [? the Librarian, the National Library of Wales], 1938 (information relating to his uncle).

Material from manuscript and printed sources compiled largely by William Fowler Carter, Maidsmere, near Bromsgrove, towards a study of the early genealogy of the family of Kenrick of Nantclwyd, Cerniogau, etc., and of the associated family of Wynn. A volume in the hand of J. H. Davies containing material on the life and work of Evan Evans ('Ieuan Fardd' or 'Ieuan Brydydd Hir'; 1731-88) mainly in the form of a chronological list of letters by him and some references to him from manuscript and printed sources (Cwrtmawr MS 446, D. Silvan Evans (ed.), Gwaith y Parchedig Evan Evans ... (Caernarfon, 1876) and J. H. Davies (ed.), The Letters of Lewis, Richard, William and John Morris of Anglesey (Morrisiaid Mon) (Aberystwyth, 1907-9). Among the insets are relevant extracts in the hand of William Llewelyn Davies, National Library of Wales from the Panton Papers (NLW MS 9070 ff.).

Facsimiles of documents relating to the parish of Llannefydd, Denbighshire, comprising pages from manuscripts in the Peniarth Collection and letters in the Lleweni Papers, together with transcripts of the documents by R. D. Roberts and a letter, 1932, to him from W. Ll. Davies, the Librarian at the National Library of Wales.

A holograph manuscript of poems by Iorwerth Cyfeiliog Peate, described by the author, in a letter [to the Librarian of the National Library of Wales ], 26 June [19]39, accompanying the manuscript, as the printers' copy of his volume of verse, Plu'r Gweunydd. [Cerddi a Sonedau (Lerpwl, 1933)]. Three points of difference, however, can be noted between the text of the present manuscript and the published work - (a) the difference in the order of the poems, which, in the printed volume, have been grouped under subject headings, this not being the case in the manuscript (the author, in the above mentioned letter, mentions this difference, and also answers the charge made by one critic, that, in grouping the poems thus, he had copied the example of 'Eifion Wyn' [Eliseus Williams], by stating that the arrangement under subject headings was not his idea, but had been done at the request of the publishers), (b) the printed volume contains four poems, 'Pentre'r Celyn' (p. 17), 'I Glychau'r Goets Fawr' (p. 38), 'Y Galw' (pp. 43-4), and 'Yn Dawel, Bêr Ddyfi' (p. 61), which do not appear in the manuscript, and (c) minor textual variations, e.g., A'th unllef oriog / O' th unllef oriog ('Maldwyn', line 1), Ofer it ddisgwyl wrth Dduw Dad / ar Dduw Dad ('Adar To yn Chwefror', last line), and Yfory mi rannaf yr holl fyd / i'r holl fyd ('Cyfoeth', line 1).

A list of vicars of Llanidloes, c. 1550-1867 (with gaps), together with manuscript and typescript notes, and eight letters to E. R. Horsfall Turner, 1935, largely relating to the Reverend Evan Pughe, who was vicar from 1837 to 1850. The correspondents include [Sir] W[illiam] Ll[ewelyn] Davies of the National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth.

A typewritten copy of the will, with inventory, of Jasper Griffyth, clerk, vicar of Hinckley, co. Leicester, proved in the archdeaconry court of Leicester, [28 May] 1614, with a covering letter, 1940, from Eleanor Swift, Archivist, Leicester City Museum, to W. Ll. Davies (afterwards Sir William Ll. Davies), Librarian of the National Library of Wales.
