A letter from the Russian interior in Russia to his brother at Jesus College, Cambridge. Has had letter from Watkins [See B1170-80] suggesting that he should accompany George to Hamburg to meet them in the summer. They plan to spend some time in Moscow and St. Petersburg on way back before going by sea to Hamburg. Will have to wait until April or May until roads clear after winter snows, and meet them mid-June. Suggests Berlin, Vienna, Munich, the Tyrol, Frankfurt, Heidelburg, down Rhine to Cologne, Brussels, Ostend. His Russian winter clothes. A Russian horse fair. His father suggests he writes a book on his return as interior of Russia unknown. Hardly worth going to Russia unless like them they have family and friends there. Advice about suitable clothes for travelling when they go on their tour next summer. He and Mary may go to Scotland before settling down at Clyro.
