Account Books of the Cardiganshire County Roads Board and the two District Roads Boards in the county of Cardigan. The District Roads Boards were responsible for the following roads: Upper district (known as the Aberystwyth district), including Aberystwyth to Aberayron, Aberystwyth to Machynlleth, Branch to Penrhyn, Aberystwyth to Steddfa Gerrig, and The Devils Bridge; Lower district (known as the Cardigan district), including Cardigan to Aberayron, Cardigan to Cenarth Bridge, Cardigan to Newcastle Emlyn, Lampeter to Aberayron, and Lampeter to Newcastle Emlyn. Each volume contains a list of the officers of the Boards and of the labourers employed in each district and on what roads: general annual statements of account for the County and District Roads Boards; accounts of wages paid to employees and receipt slips; and accounts of sums paid out for materials. 18 volumes.
