Bromley, Humphrey, b. 1796

Acquired papers,

Papers acquired by Robert Clive, 1739-1772, some deliberately, others it seems by accident.

Across the Burning Sand (Gomer, Llandysul, 1970),

The poems 'Twentieth Century Flood', 'Intruder', 'Sea', 'Token', 'Tree', 'Coal Mine', 'Night Tide', 'Plan', 'Family History', 'A Game of Chess', had already been published in Twentieth Century Flood (see no. 1 above), but the drafts of them are preserved with this group. Some changes in punctuation and in the use of capital letters were made before they were included in Across the Burning Sand. For drafts of 'Cry of the City', see 1/1.

Activities and projects,

Papers relating to Barn Centre activities and projects, including performing arts, arts and education and arts and disability activities, and black and white negative images of various activities; together with papers relating to the possibility of establishing Artscare projects in Aberystwyth.
