A group of holograph letters and postcards from the collection of, and mainly addressed to, John Jones, J.P., bookseller, Bethesda. The writers include J. N. Crowther ('Glanceri'), 1906-1922; [Richard Davies] ('Mynyddog'), undated; Owen Evans, Liscard, 1913; Dame M[argaret] Lloyd George, Criccieth, to H. E. Jones, Bethesda [1935]; H[ugh] D[erfel] Hughes, 1864; Rhys J. Huws, Staylittle, 1906; [John Jones] ('Mathetes'), Llangollen, 1858; L. D. Jones ('Llew Tegid'), Bangor, 1904-1917; [Sir] Hugh Owen, London, 1878; W. J. Parry, Bethesda, etc., 1898-1899; John H. Roberts, Liverpool; [Samuel Roberts] ('S.R.'), Conway, 1882; [John Thomas] ('Eifionydd'), 1904; and Henry J. Wilson, House of Commons, 1904. Also included in the group are an English translation of a letter from John Jones to his mother, 1864, and an incomplete address by W. Jones on Sunday School instruction, 1858.

Thomas (Arlunydd Penygarn), 1892-1894; and holograph and autograph letters to Mrs [Sally] Chambers, Abergele, daughter of Clwydfardd, from Anna [Fison] Thomas (Morfydd Eryri), 1894, Francis Knollys (aft. 1st viscount Knollys), Meurig Lloyd Davies, Toronto, 1933, grandson of Clwydfardd, and others. The letters contain references to the Liverpool Welsh National Society; Moriah Calvinistic Methodist church literary society, Caernarvon; St David's Society of Toronto; and Clwydfardd's health, last illness and death, etc.

The original manuscript of an article entitled 'Philistiaeth yng Nghymru' (emended from 'Philistiaeth Lenyddol Cymru') by the Reverend William Richard Jones ('Goleufryn'), published in Y Geninen, 1885, pp. 275-83, under the pseudonym of 'Siluriad', together with the manuscripts of a lengthy footnote by the editor, John Thomas ('Eifionydd'), and five holograph letters, 1890, from 'Eifionydd' to 'Goleufryn' relating thereto; a holograph letter, 1887, from the Reverend J. C. Jones, Mankato, Minnesota, U.S.A., to W. R. Jones ('Goleufryn') (a preaching engagement); a holograph letter, 1904, from [O. G. Owen] ('Alafon'), Cwmyglo, to Mrs. Jones, wife of 'Goleufryn', relating to a contribution to the writer's edition of Gweithiau Llenyddol Goleufryn (Caernarfon, 1904); and a holograph poem ('Cywydd: 'Tylodi'') by 'Alafon'.

A volume relating to William Jones (ca. 1825-93), Clwt-y-bont, parish of Llanddeiniolen, co. Caernarfon, compiled, 1893, by his son Griffith Williams Jones (d. 1924), Lewisham, London, with an index of contents (f. 100 verso). It comprises transcripts of letters of condolence on the death of William Jones addressed to various members of the family, many of them from Calvinistic Methodist ministers, and of englynion in his memory by 'Dewi Arfon' and 'Eifionydd'; and press cuttings of obituaries. Iems, 1923-69, relating to Griffith Williams Jones and to Lewisham Welsh Presbyterian church, of which he was a founder member, have been added on ff. 91 verso-3.
