Log book of a voyage around South Africa,

Historical triads compiled from several sources in the hand of Robert Vaughan; extracts from the Doomsday Book; and portions of a log book which was kept by a Welshman sailing in 1627 with a fleet past the Canary Islands, the Cape of Good Hope and as far as Mozambique.

Calendar,

A calendar in the hand of Gutun Owain, giving additions or variations to the calendar in Mostyn MS 88.
The manuscript is in good condition.

Trwydded pencerdd Gruffudd Hiraethog,

A roll containing a copy of the Statute of Gruffudd ap Cynan in the hand of Gruffudd Hiraethog (f. 1); together with the original licence of Gruffudd Hiraethog as Pencerdd, (1545/6) (f. 2).
Ancilliary papers included with the manuscript are a note on the contents of the manuscript, [?18 cent.] (f. 3); a transcript of the Pencerdd licence by W. W. E. Wynne (f. 4); a letter from Tho[ma]s Price, Llandrillo, to Wynne, 11 January 1861, referring to Price's translation of [?the Statute] (ff. 6-7; the translation is not present in the present manuscript); a typescript translation of the licence, [20 cent, first ½] (f. 5); and a xerox copy, [20 cent, first ½], probably of the label on the box in which the manuscript was formerly kept (f. 8).

Documents relating to the abbeys of Valle Crucis and Cymer,

Two original Latin documents, one relating to the abbey of Valle Crucis, with an imperfect seal, 1247, and the other relating to Cymer Abbey, with a seal in good condition, 1530.
Also included are two pages of notes concerning these items, the first by W. W. E. Wynne, 1860, and the second by John Ballinger, 29 March 1909.

Dictionarium Latino-Cambricum,

A Latin-Welsh dictionary in three volumes, 1604-1607, in the hand of Sir Thomas Wiliems.
The first volume contains entries A-D, the second E-P, and the third Q-Z.

Testunau gramadegol,

Texts concerning Welsh grammar; the Statute of Gruffudd ap Cynan; Araith Iolo Goch; and Cysefin Lyfr Geiriau, mostly in the hand of John Jones, Gellilyfdy.
The last leaf contains some Latin texts, including a form of Absolution.

Ancient laws,

A collection of charters, statutes, laws, etc., including Magna Carta (confirmation by Edward I of the 1225 reissue), the Forest Charter, Statute of Westminster I, Statute of Gloucester, Statute of Westminster II, Statute of Winchester, Statute of Merton, Statute of Marlborough, Statute of the Exchequer, etc.

Annotations and extracts,

'Annotations upon certain Cases in Civil-Law collected by Dr. Souch shewing how far some of them agree w[i]th our Common-Law ... by Judge Jenkins'; a poem - 'A farewell to folly'; and notes of a sermon by Dr Owen of Christ Church.

The abbey of the Holy Ghost, etc.,

Two series of extracts from Scripture in Latin entitled 'Mandata' and 'Consilia Christi'; an English text entitled 'Yis is ye abbey of ye holy gost. Yt is fou[n]ded in a place yt is cleped ye conciens'; a table to find the altitude of the sun; and a diagram of concentric circles showing the positions of hell, the earth, the planets and the heavens.

Disticha Catonis,

The 'Disticha Catonis', with an English paraphrase in verse; the wars of Alexander - 'historia Alexandri magni regis Macedonie'; and an incomplete text of 'Historia sanctorum trium regum'. Illuminated.

A notebook entitled 'Stemmata Britannica' containing genealogical notes and pedigrees of Welsh families in the hand of W. W. E. Wynne. 'Peniarth MS No. 19' is on p. ii.
