A volume containing arithmetical exercises, form letters and stories, compiled by John Lloyd (b. 1808) of Pant, parish of Llanegryn, co. Merioneth, 1824-1825, whilst a pupil at Mr Harling's Commercial School, Chester; family memoranda, including copy letters from John Lloyd's father, David Lloyd, have been added, [1820s]-1847 (ff. 344v-345, 378v-380).

A volume, 1809-1810, written by Joseph Meredith of the town of Carmarthen containing mainly arithmetical exercises, verses, and other memoranda including an account of the collection of money made among the workers at the Tinworks, Carmarthen, on behalf of the widow of a deceased forgeman, together with a copy of her petition, 1809 (ff. 79v-80v); inserted in the volume are two printed accounts, State of the Sunday Schools, near the Parade, Carmarthen ..., 1809 and 1810, with lists of the subscribers (ff. 77-8v).
