A notebook in the hand of J. H. Davies containing a list of Welsh ballads by [Owen Griffith] ('Ywain Meirion'; 1803-68) and entries of birth and baptism, 1799-1835, extracted from the register of Jewin Calvinistic Methodist Church, London.

The file comprises correspondence and associated documents concerning licences from The Ministry of Works & Planning to carry out building work on the chapel house of the Charing Cross Road Welsh Presbyterian Church, London, and the resulting work done by Chapman & Davies (D. Davies). The papers include letters relating to the position of caretaker at the chapel.

The file comprises documents concerning the erection of the Charing Cross Road Welsh Presbyterian Church together with correspondence regarding the construction and installation of a new organ. The papers include copies of an agreement between The Soho Clerkenwell and General Industrial Dwellings Company Limited and the Rev. R. E. Morris and others, October 1887, for the building of the church and a copy of a conveyance of the freehold on the property between The London County Council and The Trustees of The Welsh Calvinistic Methodist Connexion, May 1889.

There are also papers and circulars issued by the Calvinistic Methodist churches of London, material relating to the Welsh Hospital for South Africa and the National Eisteddfod of Wales held in London, 1887, papers referring to military, educational and political activities, etc.
