Diaries kept by Rose Harriette Thompson Williams,

Kl and K2 are large volumes containing detailed entries. The remainder are pocket diaries with briefer entries. The diaries for 1911, 1912 and 1913 were lost in Germany when Rose Harriette Thompson Williams's luggage was detained, 2 August 1914.

This section comprises mainly pass books, 1880-1917, on bank accounts mainly in the name of Owen Morgan Edwards.

The group comprises poetry, translations, essays and other literary compositions commemorating contemporary and historical events and local figures, [1660]-1925, academic notes, educational exercises and extracts from ancient literature and science, 1734, 1819-1841, 1925, in manuscript and typescript, written in exercise books and on loose sheets.

Ecclesiastical papers

The group comprises a small number of papers linked with the clergy, 1727, the poor law, 1764 and disestablishment, 1912.

Papers concerning Menai Bridge and Bangor to Holyhead road building scheme

The section comprises notices advertising the summoning of a special jury in accordance with an act of Parliament, for the purpose of assessing the value of the interest of Miss Jane Silence Williams' trustees in the Bangor Ferry, prior to its compulsory purchase in advance of the Menai Bridge and Bangor to Holyhead road building scheme.

They include papers concerning 'Yr Hen Bersoniaid Llengar', [?early 20 cent.]-[2000s], in particular Gwallter Mechain, [1980s]-[c. 2005], and the Richards family of Darowen, [?early 20 cent.]-[1990s]; Llawdden, the subject of her MA thesis, [1936x1938]-[c. 1955]; Angharad Llwyd, [?1953]-2002, and other notable women, [1970s]-1999; and Thomas Edward Ellis, 1986-[c. 2001]. There are also drafts of her novels, [?1965]-[1986x1988].
