[Bird preening]

An ink and watercolour drawing of a large white bird preening its wing. The body and feet are suggestive of a swan, but the length of the bill is more suggestive of a gannet or perhaps spoonbill.

[Bird in a bright blue sky]

A light coloured bird in the centre of the frame photographed against a bright blue sky. The bird is too far away from the camera to be identified.

Biography of Lord Davies,

Typescript of an unpublished biography of Lord Davies of Llandinam, attributed to Sir Charles Tennyson with some corrections and alterations in pen. Approx 500 pages. Several sections of the typescript are missing; chapter 2 (p. 13-24), p. 144 of chapter 12 (although the text appears to make sense), p 357 - 267 of chapter 27 and p. 385 of chapter 28. P. 451 in chapter 32 is incorrectly labelled as p.104. P. 208 is torn.
