Has to put in an appearance in each of the Boroughs before then. Discusses arrangements to speak in the Boroughs. Has to attend the preliminary meeting for the Convention at Caernarvon on 2 January.

Would like to go fishing on Easter Monday.

Has 1,000 men working in the department. Has to review the heads of the departments the following day. Herbert Lewis's post has not yet been settled, but anticipates no problems. The first Cabinet meeting is to be on Thursday at noon. 'We had a preliminary chat last night in which I tell you I took my part. They christened me the baby of the Cabinet - I being the youngest'.
