The letters discuss a wide range of subjects: the maintenance of Lloyd George's grave; the writer's interests and activities; publications about Lloyd George and reflections on his life and contribution; and arrangements to meet.

Miscellaneous notes accumulated by Ruth Longford while researching and writing Frances, Countess Lloyd George: More than a Mistress (Leominster, 1996), including notes on source materials, typescript draft memoirs by Jennifer Longford, a typescript dissertation [? by Ruth Longford] on Lloyd George and Hitler, and miscellaneous stray sources which had come into her possession.

The file comprises tributes, both typescript and manuscript, to O. M. Edwards following his death in 1920. Among those paying tribute are Sir Alfred T. Davies, Sir E. Vincent Evans, J. Gwenogvryn Evans, H. A. L. Fisher, D. Lloyd George, Sir Henry Haydn Jones, Sir John Morris-Jones, J. Puleston Jones and Sir John Edward Lloyd.

R. The file contains correspondence and papers, 1989-1997, relating to plans to commission a statue of Lloyd George for erection in Parliament Square, London. It includes agenda and minutes of the statue committee, lists of donations, press cuttings etc. The papers from 1989 concern the Lloyd George Centenary Appeal.

Papers of Sir Samuel Thomas Evans, comprising correspondence, 1876-1920, including letters relating to D. Lloyd-George, personal matters, such as family matters, UCW Essay Prize and Evans' death, political matters and the Welsh Church Commission; miscellaneous political papers, leaflets, notes etc, [1890]-[1910]; miscellaneous notes, pamphlets, notebooks etc. of a personal nature, 1875-[1919]; speeches and notes, [1900-1918]; papers relating to the Welsh Church disestablishment question, [1893], [1908x1910]; legal cases, 1894, 1910-1918; press cuttings, [1890x1918]; and miscellaneous material, 1881-1916.

Papers of William George, Criccieth, consisting of his personal and family correspondence, diaries and notes, 1881-1960, and papers relating to his publications and public life (including political, legal, religious and Welsh cultural material), 1883-1958, together with diaries, 1881-1915, of Richard Lloyd ('Uncle Lloyd'), and a considerable amount of correspondence and other papers relating to members of the George family, the Lloyd family and the Lloyd George family, 1766-1981. Of particular interest is a very substantial group of papers of David Lloyd George, including: correspondence with William George, mostly 1886-1918; diaries, 1878-1892; letters from prominent politicians, 1879-1913; other letters, including many to family members, 1883-1928; letters from his secretaries, 1906-1963; and working drafts and notes in preparation for his speeches.

Gruffydd; E[dward] Ernest Hughes; John Jenkins ('Gwili'); C[adwaladr] Bryner Jones; and T. Gwynn Jones.

Most of the letters, 1897-1925, are relatively short notes, arranging meetings, giving items of news and requesting pieces of information for the author's researches. There are many references to Welsh books and manuscripts, and occasional, passing references to contemporary national and political events. There is also some discussion of the development of the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, the University of Wales, and the establishment and early growth of the National Library of Wales. There are several interesting references to the selection of the venue for the National Library and the eventual choice of Aberystwyth and to the appointment of the Library's officers. Sir John also occasionally refers to the early history of the National Museum, founded at Cardiff in the early twentieth century. During 1908 and 1909 there are letters referring to meetings with D. Lloyd George, then Chancellor of the Exchequer, and John Herbert Lewis, relating to attempts to wrest improved funding for the National Library from the Liberal government.

Some of the letters refer to O. M. Edwards's work as Liberal MP for Merionethshire; they include some constituency correspondence.
