A history of Wales transcribed from George Owen's treatise of lordships marcher in Wales; copies of a statement made March 10, 1685/6, at New York by Morgan Jones, 'the son of John Jones of Basleg near Newport in Monmouthshire', attesting that he had conversed with American Indians in the Welsh language (see The Gentleman's Magazine, 1740), of a letter, August 14, 1734, on a similar subject sent by Charles Lloyd, Dolobran, Montgomeryshire, to a cousin, and of 'Dr. [Robert] Plott's Account [to the Royal Society] of an Antient Discovery of America from Wales'; a list, in the hand of John Lloyd, Caerwys, of 'The names of the Principal men that kept Hardelech castle against Edwd the 4th;' lists of the sheriffs of Flintshire, Denbighshire, Montgomeryshire, and Merioneth; transcripts of epitaphs in Mold church; and notes taken from Thomas Carte : A General History of England (London, 1747-1755).

Letters to Sir John Owen, 1647-1660; subjects include legal proceedings against him for a debt connected with the guardianship of his nephew, William Vaughan, with drafts of his request for advice, [c. 1660]; lawsuits between Theodor Roberts, clerk of Llanfor and a Mr [Lewis?] Lloyd of Rhiwaedog, 1652; official orders for the demolition of Harlech Castle, 1647; news of a defeat of the Spaniards by the Portuguese army [1659?], raising of infantry troops and appointments to the Shropshire Corporation; and a cryptic, outgoing letter to Edmund Meyricke.

Administration papers relating to the borough of Harlech, including copies, 1573, of an account of lead at Harlech Castle in 1571; grant of the constableship of Harlech Castle to Sir Henry Lee and Owen Cooke, 1589; a subsequent appointment of a deputy, 1599; a draft petition to the King by the Corporation of Harlech for holding the Great Sessions and Quarter Sessions at Harlech, [c. 1604]-1612; copy of the 1284 charter of Harlech [1604x1612]; regulations for the appointments and duties of burgesses and bailiffs in the town, 1612; and a copy of the results of an official investigation into the Corporation and crown land at Harlech, with the jury 's verdict, 1650.

A facsimile manuscript in two parts mostly in the hand of William Watkin Edward Wynne. The first part comprises copies (some printed) of charters, public records, deeds, pedigrees, poetry, etc. of Merionethshire and Caernarvonshire interest, some of which are taken from transcripts made by Robert Vaughan, Hengwrt. The material includes records and pedigrees relating to the Wynn family of Peniarth; notes on the Maurice and Owen families of Clenennau, Penmorfa, Caernarvonshire, with related deeds possibly in the hand of William Maurice of Llansilin; deeds relating to the Porkington estate; an extent of the commote of Eifionydd, 1352; an extract from the Coroner's Rolls for Merionethshire, 1345; charters of Castell y Bere and Harlech Castle; pedigrees of Madog ap Dafydd of Hendwr, Llandrillo, Merionethshire; an ode to Einion ap Gruffydd of Corsygedol by Gruffudd Gryg; odes to Dafydd ab Ieuan ab Einion by Guto'r Glyn and Dafydd Nanmor; letters addressed to W. W. E. Wynne, the correspondents including Walter Davies ('Gwallter Mechain'); etc. The second part is also mostly in the hand of W. W. E. Wynne and again comprises material mainly of Merionethshire and Caernarvonshire interest, including pedigrees, correspondence, deeds, etc. relating to the Porkington estate and to the Maurice family and to the Wynne family of Glyn and Ystumcegid, Caernarvonshire; poetry relating to members of the Wynn family of Glyn by Huw Machno, Rhisiart Cynwal and others (one elegy translated into English); press cuttings taken from the Cambrian News, 1879; letters addressed to W. W. E. Wynne, the correspondents including Walter Davies ('Gwallter Mechain') and Joseph Morris; etc.
