The file comprises various bills and receipts to O. M. Edwards, many from hotels and guest houses, others for travelling. There is also a group of bills, 1919-1920, from Lincoln College, Oxford, where Ifan ab Owen Edwards was a student.

The series contains personal letters written from the Edwards family's various local homes at Llanuwchllyn, giving family, domestic and local news, and also referring to national events, and to O.M. Edwards's wide-ranging activities and pursuits. Many of the letters refer to the activities of the children Ifan and Haf, and to other members of their families. The tensions and problems within the marriage are ever close to the surface because of the long enforced absences, but there is also clear evidence of a deep bond and affection between husband and wife.

The series comprises letters giving family, domestic and local news. Most of them were written at 3 Clarendon Villas, Oxford, and give news of O.M. Edwards and their children Ifan and Haf.

Some fifty letters, 1933-1948, from Ifan ab Owen Edwards and R. E. Griffith to the architect D. T. Jones, Aberystwyth, relating to work carried out by the latter for Cwmni Urdd Gobaith Cymru (The Welsh League of Youth, Inc.), including letters concerning the Welsh school at Lluest, Aberystwyth.

Transcripts of baptisms, marriages, and burials from the parish registers of Llandloes, 1792-1818; a list of 'A few of the Subscribers' to Hugh Jones (Maesglasau): Cydymmaith i'r Hwsmon . . . (Llundain, 1774); extracts, 1667-1818, from the parish registers of Trefeglwys, [Llan]wnog, Carno, and [Llan]dinam, recording marriages of 'Llanidloes people'; abstracts of memorial inscriptions from Llanidloes Churchyard; and extracts, largely of Montgomeryshire interest, from Ifan ab Owen Edwards: A Catalogue of Star Chamber Proceedings relating to Wales (Cardiff, 1929).
