An extensive collection of vouchers (mainly receipts) with an occasional covering letter, to J. H. Davies, 1905-16. Many relate to the purchase and binding of books, periodicals, etc., especially from Frank Crowe, Celtic Book Depôt, Wrexham, Bertram Dobell (aft. P.J. and A. E. Dobell), London and E. W. Evans, Dolgelley. There are also records of purchases from Blaenpenal & District Agricultural Co-operative Society Limited, Carmarthen Farmers Co-operative Society Limited, College and Counties Farm, Llanfarian, John Davies, clog and clog block manufacturer and boot retailer, Lampeter (one relates to the sale of books), M. H. Davies & Sons, iron merchants, Aberystwyth, Derry Ormond Saw Mills, etc. The vouchers, arranged in alphabetical order of names, cover the letters A-E, including one in the hand of Ellis Pierce (Ellis o'r Nant), printer, bookseller and stationer, Dolwyddelen.
