The outer brown-paper cover is lettered 'Tacitus. Rhannau o'i Waith yn Gymraeg gan D. O. 1923'. Inset are two relevant letters in the hand of the translator written in 1923 from the School of Arts, Brisbane to J. H. Davies (also discussing the possibility of an appointment at Aberystwyth, the development of Queensland University, and the merits of Australian poetry, with emphasis on George Essex Evans).
