Holograph letters from Lewis Edwards, Bala, to his son Llewelyn, 1864-1882 (5) (the recipient's health and his studies, the birth of the recipient's son and heir, the proposed opening of the Bala-Festiniog railway, personal); from Lewis Edwards, from Hyde Park, London, to his wife Jane, 1874 (personal); from T[homas] C[harles] Edwards, from Stratford-on-Avon and from Leamington, to his brother Llewelyn, 1867 (the writer's marriage and return to Liverpool); and from Thomas Charles [Edwards] to his mother, undated (the writer's proposed marriage, personal). Also included in the volume is a prayer, in Welsh, by T. C. Edwards, 1859.

Eighteen letters to D. Silvan Evans, seventeen of which, 1870-98, are from T[homas] C[harles] Edwards, Liverpool, Aberystwyth and Bala (bibliographical and lexicographical matters, matters in connection with the University College, Aberystwyth, the writer's paper on Salesbury, Dr Lewis Edwards's translation of Cowper's hymn 'God moves in a mysterious way') and one, [18]76, from E. P[enllyn] Jones, University College, Aberystwyth. The last three letters from T. C. Edwards are in another hand except for the signature.
