Title from outer scroll, which bears the vestige of red wax seal. The documents, written in Calcutta, include an account of jewels sent between the Bangla years 1167 and 1169, which relate to the period from 22 March 1760 to 21 March 1763 CE, or possibly to 1753-1756, if Hijri calendar. Also referred to in addition to Vansittart, who left India in 1764, are: Mir Muhammad Qasim Khan, Khvajah Petruse (Armenian), Hastings, Turab-i `Ali-Khan, Jagat Seth Mahtab Rai, Khvajah Afram [also Armenian?]; income received from Monghyr through Hidayat Allah and Hariprashad during the month of Phagan; income received by Ramchiran Ram Singh [?] during the year 1167 from traders, landlords, etc. Enclosure: Memorandum regarding amounts of money Khvajah Pidroshan received from his employees - Chand Ghosh, Jagannath Bisvas, Kashinath Bakhshi, Khushhal, Ram Singh, Tejram, Sudra Ram, and Ramkishor
