The series consists of a group of miscellaneous papers relating to, or collected by Lily Whaite, 1880-1913, including school reports, notes for schoolwork, poetry, invitations to various functions, school notes relating to the Eisteddfod, and an almanac for noting the names of persons to whom she had written, together with a small number of notebooks containing autograph sermon notes by the Reverend John Harries.
The series consists of papers relating to exhibitions of 'Pictures, Water Colour Drawings and Sketches by Mr. H. Clarence Whaite', at Willis's Rooms, London, 12 January 1911, and 'Exhibition of Pictures by H. Clarence Whaite', at the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, 28 January - 11 February 1911, together with numerous invitations to take part in art exhibitions and invitations to private views of exhibitions, 1865-1912.
The series comprises papers relating to the Art Union, invitations to social events, papers relating to the origins of Plas Mawr, and papers relating to the Queen's jubilee.

The series comprises miscellaneous papers relating to the Manchester Academy of Fine Arts, including regulations of the Academy, 1873, 1891; a list of members, 1870-1871; printed copies of the secretary's report and president's address, 1883; manuscript notes; invitations; a list of subscriptions towards the Clarence Whaite bust fund, and press cuttings, 1867-1912, relating to both the Manchester Academy of Fine Arts and the Manchester City Art Gallery.

The file comprises two small notebooks used as address books containing the names and addresses of H. Clarence Whaite's acquaintences, friends and family; most of the entries in one notebook are in Lily F. Whaite's hand.
The file includes details of the daily admission season tickets and pictures sold at the Royal Cambrian Academy exhibition at the South Wales University College, July 18 to Sept. 26, 1885.
The file includes a list, kept by the Curator of the Royal Cambrian Academy, of paintings sent to various art galleries, and returned to the Academy.
