Parliamentary speech

Copy, printed 1708, of ‘Mr Price’s speech in the House of Commons, 22d Janry 1695’, entitled ‘The Speech of an Antient Britain in Parliament against An Exorbitant Grant together with Four More Speeches spoke in the Treasury’, with a memo on the authenticity of a manuscript copy of the same, 1768.

Pryse family (misc.) and others

Original bundle containing very miscellaneous documents, some of which may not be relevant here. The main item is an epitome of the settlement by Pryse Pryse the elder and Pryse Pryse the younger of freehold estates in the counties of Pembroke, Cardigan, Gloucester and Berkshire, 1846, with a copy schedule and related letters, 1845-1847. Other items include a grant of an annuity by Lewis Pryse of Gogerddan to Lewis Jones of Llwyndolithel, Merioneth, 1708; an account of the descent and financial position of the Rug and Bachymbyd estates of Sir Roger Salusbury; schedule of the debts of Thomas Pryse, 1729-1741; bonds for payment by Maria Charlotta Pryse, 1742, and John Pughe Pryse, 1762; a schedule of papers received from Gellydowyll. 1769; a survey of part of the Gogerddan estate; deeds and leases by John Hughes of Ysker Hir, heir of Glan[l]ery, 1795 (copy, with a letter, 1832), John Lewis of Terfynan, 1833, Pryse Pryse, 1841, and Pryse Loveden, 1850; a promissory note by John Lewis of Morfa’r Borth to fulfil a legacy by his mother, Eleanor Lewis of Ffosygrafel, for the education of poor boys in Cyfoethybrenin, and to maintain the pinfold, in return for a part of Wernleri common, 1829; and a valuation of tithe woods in the parish of Llanfihangel Genau’r-glyn [19th cent.]
