297 Mounted 35mm Kodak transparencies taken in Patagonia following his award of a Winston Churchill fellowship . They include views in Welsh settlements in Patagonia such as Trelew, Gaiman, Drofa Dulog, Trevelin and Esquel.

Personal b&w photographs taken by JKW on various trips abroad, mainly to Europe. Most are of Paris.

[Welsh Views II and miscellaneous]

Personal & professional photographs by KW of Welsh views, mainly mounted 35mm transparencies. Most of these appear to have been taken in the months preceding his trip to Patagonia. They may well have served the purpose of familiarising himself with his camera. Also a small number of images of works of art by other artists collected by Kyffin Williams.

63 personal & professional photographs by JKW of Welsh views, mainly black and white. Some may have been used as aides de memoire for later paintings. Also present are a small number of b&w prints of the Lake District from ca. 1960 and a large format card mounted photo ca. 1890 showing a view of the Menai Straits captioned 'Home of Thomas Williams & family View from Craig-y-don, Anglesey' by Thos. Mills, Bangor.

Owen Richard Inglis Williams

116 personal photographs in the form of portraits of, and photographs by Richard, the elder brother of JKW (4684/1-12). Many of these are snapshots from the Middle East taken whilst on National Service (4684/13-108) - nos. 22-28 were in an envelope marked 'Fayid'. Also included is Jesus College Cricket XI, 1937. Nos. 117-124 are modern prints of views in Athens produced at NLW from negatives believed to be by ORI Williams.

135 personal photographs (121 b&w) in the form of loose C20th and C19th photographs of family and friends of JKW. Many are unidentified.

C19th Family Album

Personal photographs in the form of a C19th photo album containing photographs (20 cabinet cards, 166 cartes de visite, 5 smaller images) of JKW’s ancestors and family members. Included are members of the Ramsay & Williams families.This album appears to have descended from the Tre-ffos side of KWs family. It is evident that at some point some photographs have been removed and placed back in the incorrect place. Therefore all annotations in this album should be treated with a degree of caution.

Included are snapshots and professional portraits of KW, KW at work in his studio, KW with other artists (Rolf Harris, Shani Rhys James) interior and exterior views of Pwllfanogl including high tide Feb. 10th 1997 (photos 4680/52-58), in the snow, sculptures in the garden.

Also a small number of photographs of works by other artists that once adorned his studio walls.

Unframed pencil and watercolour drawing of a coastal scene similar to his other works of the area but from a more elevated position.

[Sunset, perhaps Llanddwyn]

An unframed watercolour of a sunset over the sea with a chain of hills visible on the horizon. Composition is very similar to 'Sun Over the Bay, Llanddwyn' which is reproduced in 'The Land & The Sea' (Gomer, 1998).
