Correspondence and papers

The folder includes circular correspondence from the Association of University Teachers and the University Registry, 1943 and 1951; examination papers and related correspondence, 1948-1962; reports on candidature for degrees, 1962, and a copy of a letter of complaint, 1964, sent by Mansel Davies, Edward Davies Chemical Laboratory, Aberystwyth, addressed to the Registrar.

Ecclesiastical history

The file comprises notes and transcripts of ecclesiastical history and texts, including notes on Saint Patrick; the Bibyl Ynghymraec, which was edited by Thomas Jones and published by the University of Wales Press, in 1940, and the Biblia Pauperum.

Elis Gruffydd

The file comprises notes on Elis Gruffydd, c. 1490-1552, copyist, chronicler and translator, who accompanied Sir Robert Wingfield at the Field of the Cloth of Gold, near Calais in 1520.
