A collection, by Thomas Jones, of anthems taken from psalms, choruses from Handel fitted with Welsh words, a carol ('Clywch lu'r nef'), and anthem by William Owen, Cil Melyn [Prysgol] ('Cwymp Babilon'), and temperance songs.

Miscellaneous letters, 1913-1934, mostly addressed to Philip Thomas, relating mainly to his involvement in local eisteddfodau and musical events. Included are letters and papers relating to Neath Harmonic Society, 1926 (ff. 34-36), and the 1933 Welsh Calvinistic Methodist Parliamentary Bill, 1931 (ff. 47-9); verses relating to the Mari Lwyd (f. 1); a printed programme of service for Central Church, Chicago, 1922 (ff. 11-13); Thomas's adjudication for the choral competition at the Swansea National Eisteddfod, 1926 (ff. 37-41); a printed leaflet for Haslemere Music Festival, 1934 (ff. 60-61); and the tune and words of a Welsh Christmas Carol (f. 53) and of a Welsh folk-song (ff. 64-66).

Copi, dyddiedig 19 Rhagfyr 1853, o Garol Nadolig (1785) gan David Rhys, Llanbrynmair (neu o bosib ei frawd, Thomas), wedi ei ddiwygio gan, ac yn llaw, Evan Breece (Ieuan Cadfan). = A copy, dated 19 December 1853, of a Christmas Carol (1785) by David Rhys of Llanbrynmair (or possibly his brother, Thomas), revised by, and in the hand of, E[van] Breece (Ieuan Cadfan).

Copi llawysgrif, [18 gan., hwyr] (dyfrnod 'Afonwen Mill'), o bedwar pennill olaf cerdd anhysbys, gyda'r pennill cyntaf ar glawr yn cychwyn 'Mae'n ddyled i ninnau mewn goleu yn ddi gyd'. Mae'r pennill olaf yn dweud i'r gerdd gael ei chyfansoddi ym 1781. = A manuscript copy, [late 18 cent.] ('Afonwen Mill' watermark), of the final four verses of an anonymous poem, the first extant verse beginning 'Mae'n ddyled i ninnau mewn goleu yn ddi gyd'. The final verse gives the year of its composition as 1781.

A miscellany containing a metrical dissertation on Psalm 8, verses 3 and 4, followed by a poem dealing with the seven planets; 'Darlleniad diwiol'; 'Carol i Fair', beginning 'Yngwledydd Judea yr oedd Zackaria'; a part of a carol by Mathe[w] Owen; a 'cywydd', a 'dyri', and a carol by Huw Morus; a 'dyri' by Edwart Rolant ('o'r bala'); 'Erapater dros byth a gaed o lyfr Thomas Jones ... 1701'; farm notes for 1702; etc. -- Much of the volume is in the hand of Richard Roberts, whose name, with the date 'Mai 21, 1699', appears on one folio. At the end of the manuscript is the note: - 'Llyfr y coch o Hergist yn y glasgoed y mae ef'.
