Correspondence with Percy Wyndham Lewis

The file comprises photocopies of correspondence, [?1905]-[1951], together with a cutting entitled 'Damning and blasting - Michael Holroyd writes about the volcanic relationship between Wyndham Lewis and Augustus John', The Listener, July 1972. [On 30 November 1972 he gave the Don Carlos Coloma Memorial Lecture, 'Damn and "Blast"! The Friendship of Wyndham Lewis and Augustus John', to the Royal Society of Literature which was later published in his Unreceived opinions (London, 1973)]. Also included is an explanatory leaflet 'Blast' produced for an exhibition of Wyndham Lewis's work in art and literature at the University of Lancaster, 1979.

The file comprises the revised second draft of the film script 'Gus' by Yves Baigneres, 1996, for Renaissance Films, adapted from Michael Holroyd's biography, together with correspondence, 1996-1998. The project was abandoned in 1998.
