Songs and correspondence

Folk songs and traditional tunes, often with related letters from collectors and bearing provenance notes. Some are in the hand of Mary Davies and a letter and Christmas carol from Grace Gwyneddon Davies, 1944, are also included, together with lists of ballads and tunes.

Preparatory notes and other related papers include comments on the characteristics of contemporary Welsh preachers.

Lectures, outlines of lectures and miscellaneous notes relating mainly to the history of Welsh music, apparently delivered between 1919 and 1928; together with a synopsis of an address delivered at Denbigh Eisteddfod, [1939], and outlines of lectures for the Summer School at Denbigh, 1944.
