The file contains a characteristic mingling of personal and professional letters, many relating to political events and the proceedings of the House of Lords. Some letters refer to a ceremony at Rhymney during April 1990 to unveil a plaque to commemorate Thomas Jones's name, and others to the re-publication of his Rhymney Memories. A few concern preparations for the 1992 National Eisteddfod at Aberystwyth.
