Lease for ninety-nine years or for the lives of the lessee, Thomas son of William Nickoll his brother, and William son of John Evan his brother-in-law, of their tenement of meadow containing three acres in the parish of Peterstone, co. Glam., the lands of Sir John Awbrey, Bart., the lands of the heirs of Colonel Mathews, and the lands belonging to the Castle Amenagh Estate, formerly in the occupation of Arnold Pranch. Timber is excepted to the lessors. The annual rent is one shilling at Michaelmas, a couple of pullets, the work of one man at harvest time, and a heriot of five shillings at the death of each tenant. This lease is granted in consideration of twenty pounds.

Assignment of mortgage in five hundred pounds of the parsonage of Eglwsilan with the chapels of Llanvabon and St. Martins near Caerphilly, together with their buildings and glebe-lands and tithes. The archdeacon and chapter of Llandaff had leased the said parsonage to the said William Howell for twenty-one years. The latter mortgaged the said parsonage to the said William Morgan in five hundred and fifty pounds, of which he repaid fifty pounds. The said Thomas Lewis repaid the remaining five hundred pounds and took over the mortgage for the remainder of the term of lease, with a proviso for repayment of the said sum by the said William Howell.
