It contains poems, epigrams, epitaphs, parodies, metrical translations of the classics, etc., by J. Scott, W. 'Spencer, J. Fenton, and others, including ' Prologue to - Nothing, spoken at a Masquerade at Wynnstay, Septr. 1800, by a Character of a Strolling-Player' ; letters and copies of letters mainly to and from John Scott ; ' An account of the present State of England', by C. A commonplace book of Robert Owen (1820-1902: D.N.B., Second Supp., Vol. III, p. 61) of Bron-y-Graig, Barmouth, theologian, clergyman, and author. It contains poems composed by himself and others, extracts from works read by him, and diary entries, 1834-6, made when he was a pupil at Ruthin School, these entries having numerous references to Nannau and other North Wales country houses and to persons connected with them.
