Plas Yolyn account book,

Plas Yolyn household, tax, tithe, succession and rent accounts, 1887-1908. Inserted items include an undated memorandum from J. Wilson, gamekeeper, to C. Morrall, esq., that he had given a warning to James Rice, labourer, Edward Jones, wheelwright, and George Richards and Thomas Morris of Ifton Heath, colliers, their dogs having chased a rabbit on Plas Warren land; and a poem, the 1909 defeat of England against Australia at cricket having been attributed to their senility, the team having had an average of thirty-four.

Volume containing typescript copies of auctioneers' descriptions (some with plans) of sixteen properties sold, Jan. 1920-May 1921. Cover inscribed 'The trustes of the Reverend Cyrus Morrall deceased. Original folder of family history notes, including a typescript transcript of the complaint of Richard Price, one of the clerks of John Morrall of Dudleston, dec., employed as his clerk in 'this' [unnamed] court, c.1690; and extensive typescript extracts (62 pp.) from a manuscript volume of parish register entries (27 parishes) and other references to Morrall, compiled by Michael Thomas Morrall, copied by John Alphonsus Morrall (1904), and then (2002) held by Warwickshire County Record Office (probably their ref. Z0428/1(SM)).

A holograph copy of a letter from Mor[gan] Llwyd to H[enry] Jessey, 1656 (lessons and observations from Jac[ob] Behmen, John Goodwin's answer, converse with Mr. Hartlib); holograph copies and one draft of letters (3) from [Morgan Llwyd] to unknown correspondents, 1658/1659, and undated (the recipient's change of doctrine, kindness to David Hughes's son, the recipient's action in Tho. Tillams and the writer's in breaking bread at Chester, the writer's wish to reside in the country); a holograph letter from Hen[ry] Jones, from Dublin, to [?Morgan Llwyd], 1655 (the writer's former course in writing, references to Robin, dear Daniell Lloyd, Capt. Prichard, Sontley, Kathrin, Lowrey Williams, and Eliz. Powell) (together with a draft reply in the hand of Morgan Llwyd); a sheet marked 'fourth' in the hand of Morgan Llwyd, concerning the diversity of thoughts in the human heart, together with notes, dated 1655/1656-1656/1657, on apparitions; and 'The heads of the bill for Gouernment' in the hand of Morgan Llwyd, 1656.

Grimaldi [from Liverpool] to Edward Morrall [at Liverpool], 1834-1835 and undated (arrangements for lessons in Italian, visits to the opera, invitations to dinner); and drafts of letters by Edward Morrall to G. Grimaldi, [ ] Venzano, and [ ] Marchese (recommending Dr. Harrington as a member of the orchestra, etc.), together with jottings and vocabularies.

A contemporary copy [c. December, 1718] of 'The Genuine Speech of the Ld. L--ne [George Granville, baron Lansdowne] against repealing the Occasional and Schism Bills' (8 pp.); and a news letter, 6 June, 1719, containing an account of Mr. [Gilbert] Burnet, incumbent of East Barnet, the imprisonment of the late Earl of Mar [John Erskine, 6th or 11th earl] at Geneva, twelve porpoises at Greenwich, and the case of the heir of Sir John Trevor, Master of the Rolls (mutilated).
