An extract from the Monthly Review, December 1791, 'Reviewing Dr. Wiliams Enquiry &c.' Endorsed: 'Madoc ap Owain Gwynedd'.

'Letter [from E.W.] to Mr. Gill'. They had, not long ago, a little friendly dispute about the Trinity, a word that is not to be found in any part of the Bible. Before the writer proceeds to any further remarks he will simply produce the following Scriptures. ?Unfinished.

Part of an answer to Paine, beginning, 'Mr Paine has strove hard to deprive us of our God of the Bible'. On the reverse side of the first page are 'Triban Will Tabwr neu Triban chwiban' with the words 'Mi brofaf ich diddanu ...'. ('Hen chwedl gwlad ai Cant ymorganwg') and three verses beginning 'Wyf debig i'r aderyn ni hê ni fed un gronyn ...'.

(?) Part of the answer to Paine, followed by observations on modes of reasoning, etc., in a certain society. How the President should address the company at the close of the debate. Mention of Mr E. Jones, Mr Fothergill, Mr Wright and Mr Owen Jones.

Observations beginning 'I cannot help wishing that the laity would immediately set about instructing themselves in religion, and at proper times form themselves into assemblies for religious worship ...'. (Written on the back of printed Proposals For Printing by Subscription, Poems Lyric and Pastoral ... [before 1792]).

Observations on Metempsychosis, etc., - 'in short if the scriptures do not teach, at least imply, the metempsychosis, I know not what substitute can be found for it. 'The history of the herd of swine is on any other idea a mere jugglers trick ...'.

Observations (partly crossed out) beginning, 'We that are Christians have a warm and heartfelt interest in the accomplishment of those prophecies of our believed (honoured) scriptures ...', with some lines of verse on the reverse side.

'Dr. Withers sentiments on religion', etc. Endorsed 'Extracts from Reviews'.

'The ingenuity of the human mind (understanding, intellect) ...' at its best and at its worst. A condemnation of all warriors. Written on the back of a note sent by Mr Croft, New St., June 23.

Writ of Subpoena to Mr Edward Wiliams, Thomas Jones, and William Wiliams to appear at the Great Sessions for co. Glamorgan at Cardiff on September 19 in a cause between John Doe, lessee of William Rees and David Terry, plaintiff, and Robert Thomas, defendant, to testify on the part of the defendant. On the dorse are some grammatical notes by Iolo Morganwg.

Verses by Richard Lloyd on the Druids. Among the notes written on the dorse is the following: 'Deudneudwyr, a nick name given by the Southwalians to the Northwalians from their corrupt words deud. & gwneud ' (In the autograph of Iolo Morganwg).

A song beginning 'No longer let whimsical songsters compare', written by Miss Kitty Deere and addressed to Edward William.
