The archive represents the working papers of a major ironworking dynasty.

Lord Bute prefers to make arrangements with recipient (and not with the Abernant Co. as proposed in Letter 286) who is advised to get possession of the coal lands of Mr. (Thynne Howe) Gwynn, or take Lord Bute's land at Aberdare and convey the coal to Hirwain by locomotive.
