‘Brith-waith ... William Morris 1638’ (f. viii, title-page), a collection of cywyddau and englynion, of [14-17 cent.], in the early hand of William Maurice (also signed and dated on f. 32). On ff. 56 verso–57 he experiments with italic script. His contents list is on f. viii verso. A few variant readings and notes are added in his later hand.

A late 15th century, or early 16th century copy, of Brut y Brenhinedd, the Welsh translation of Geoffrey of Monmouth's Historia Regum Britanniae (ff. 1-107 verso). The manuscript was written on thick parchment by one scribe, probably in north Wales, following an exemplar associated with, if not partly derived from, the early 14th century Peniarth MS 21.

A Welsh version of Geoffrey of Monmouth's Historia Brittonum written, mid 14th century, by the scribe known as the 'Anchorite'.

A manuscript of the first half of the 14th century in the hand of a single scribe comprising a Welsh version of Geoffrey of Monmouth's Historia Brittonum (p. 6); the Pedigrees of the Saints (p. 286) and of the Men of the North (p. 291); and triads (p. 293).

One of the earliest Welsh versions of Geoffrey of Monmouth's Historia Regnum Britannie in the hand of a single scribe dating from the mid 13th century.
The manuscript also contais seven folios in the hand of William Morris of Llansilin, 1660.

Secular and religious prose and narrative texts by three scribes dating from c. 1330.
The texts include a biblical history (p. 1); Brut y Tywysogion (p. 65), with a continuation from 1282 to 1332 (p. 292); Kyfoesi Myrddin a Gwenddydd (p. 302); and a Welsh grammar (p. 305).

Transactions of the Honourable Society of Cymmrodorion, 1943-4, 35-61] (pp. 25-91); an extract from a Latin lawbook owned by 'Mr Powel' (p. 92); on the 'nations' (pp. 93-102); on the foundation of Oxford colleges, up to 1566 [excluding Jesus, founded in 1571], and Cambridge colleges up to 1557 (pp. 102-7); Dysgread Arfau [see Evan J. Jones (ed.), Medieval Heraldry: Some Fourteenth Century Heraldic Works (Cardiff, 1943)] and a treatise on pigments [both derived from NLW MS 17116] (pp. 109-86); Statud Gruffudd ap Cynan and treatises on cerdd dant, etc. [all from NLW MS 17116, some of them printed from Peniarth MS 147 in Bulletin of the Board of Celtic Studies, 1 (1921-3), 139-56] (pp. 187-215). On pp. 206-17 are Y Pedair Camp ar Hugain, Y Pedwar Mesur ar Hugain and 'Henwau hen wyr wrth gerdd'; other texts include 'Y Saith Gelfyddyd Ryddion' [D. Gwenallt Jones (ed.), Yr Areithiau Pros (Caerdydd, 1934), pp. 69-70; G.J. Williams & E.J. Jones (eds.), Gramadegau’r Penceirddiaid (Caerdydd, 1934), p. 207] (pp. 218-20) and 'Val y gwnaethir mewn ffest reia'’ [BBCS, 15 (1952-4), 116-19] (pp. 223–30). A good collaborating hand contributed two englynion on p. 205. The ink of the scribe is badly faded in places. Marginal additions in smaller script and blacker ink, including those on pp. 10-11 and 14-15 recording traditional lore [printed in RMWL, I, p. 911], are also in the hand of Wiliam Dafydd Llywelyn. There are notes in the hand of David Powel on pp. 82 ('Celwyddeu dybryd') and 84; notes by a good contemporary hand are on p. 43, and by another on p. 53. John Lloyd [?of Llanforda], [16 cent., second ½], added a Latin quotation on p. 78. On p. 3 is an englyn in a good bardic hand and on pp. 6, 15 and 244-5 other englynion, etc. in an untidier hand; the additions of these two hands, [16-17 cent.], are anonymous and probably autograph.

Secondly pp. 231-44. Part of an armorial, with painted coats of arms, arranged by achau’r mamau, in the hand of Simwnt Fychan.

The first part of the volume, written about 1620-1630, consists of poetry by Gruffudd Hiraethog, Tudur Aled and others; the second part is a copy of the greater part of the Black Book of Carmarthen (see Peniarth MS 1) in the hand of Dr John Davies, Mallwyd.

Memoranda in Welsh relating to relics of the Crucifixion; a fragment of a play in Latin and English entitled 'Judith'; and a transcript of Cato Construed or A familiar and caste interpretation upon Cato's morall verses first doen in latin and frenche by Maturus Corderius and nowe newly englished to the comforte of all young scolars, printed for Andrew Maunsell in London [? 1584].

A collection, second quarter of the 16th century, of love poems of various poets, including Dafydd ap Gwilym, Bedo Brwynllys, Robin Ddu and Tudur Aled.
Pp. 163-4 and 217-8 are later insertions.

A notebook containing transcripts by W. W. E. Wynne of correspondence, 1642-1655, mainly to and from Sir John Owen, taken from originals at Porkington. The correspondents include Charles I, Princes Rupert and Maurice, Gilbert Byron, John Byron, Robert Corbett (Ynysymaengwyn), H. Mackworth, Thomas Mytton, William Neale, Richard Vaughan and John Williams, archbishop of York. Also included are notes by W. W. E. Wynne on Llanegryn and Llangelynnin churches, Merionethshire (ff. 8 verso-12). 'Historical Letters, &c: Peniarth MS 18 [corrected to] No. 75' on spine; '495' on label pasted on spine.
