The second and third of three volumes (see also NLW MS 23701E) of typescript and manuscript accounts by women from Wales of their experiences in the Second World War, selections from which were published in Parachutes and Petticoats: Welsh Women Writing on the Second World War, ed. by Leigh Verrill-Rhys and Deirdre Beddoe (Dinas Powys, 1992). The material was submitted in response to an appeal in 1991 by the publishers, Honno. NLW MS 23073D comprises contributions not represented in the published volume; the reminiscences of Hilda H. Price (ff. 232-241) were published in Llafur, 6 (1992), 110-113. A copy of the complete archive has been donated to the Imperial War Museum, London.

A court leet record book, 25 April 1771-29 December 1806, of the manor of Bishopston, Glamorgan. The volume also contains loose sheets of notes in a 20th century hand relating to some of the records.
The court records are written in what appear to be four different hands. There is some annotation, possibly in the same hand as the loose sheets. There is an index at the back of the volume; it appears that the last page of the index is written in a later hand and is pasted onto the recto of the previous page.

The register was issued by Montgomery[shire] County Council in accordance with the Swine Fever Order, 1911, and records names and addresses of sows' owners.

Part of the vestry book of the parish of Llanaber, Merioneth, 1812-1825 (watermark 1804), containing minutes, July 1812-March 1823, of meetings concerning the parish poor rate, housing for the poor, etc.
The volume is probably incomplete, consisting of three loose gatherings only. A receipt, dated 5 July 1825 is tipped in on f. 14.

Copies of the Queen's instructions to Henry, Earl of Pembroke, Lord President of the Council in Wales and the Marches, 1586; the commission of the lieutenancy of Wales and the Marches to Henry, Earl of Pembroke, March 22, 1600, with power to make deputations to persons named in the commission for the different counties within the lieutenancy; a petition by six members of the Privy Council to the Lord Keeper to renew the commission of lieutenancy for Merioneth and to leave out the names of John Lewys Owen and Cadwalader ap Ris, who had been arraigned before the Court of Star Chamber for misdemeanours, and to appoint Griffith Vaughan and Robert Lloyd to be deputies for the Earl of Pembroke for that county; a Privy Council letter to the same effect covering a renewed commission to the Earl of Pembroke, March 31, 1600, with a list of justices of the peace for Merioneth; and orders for the reformation of the Court of the Marches, 1577.

A volume containing a transcript of Griffith Jones, Welch Piety for 1751-1752 (London, 1753) and of part of the Welch Piety for 1753-1754 (London, 1755) and 1756-1757 (London, 1757) (ff. 1-138); extracts relating to the history of religion in Wales (ff. 139-232v) mainly from published works but a few extracts from manuscripts of H. T. Edwards, dean of Bangor (see ff. 149v, 168v-9v, 171v-2, 188. 201v); and extracts from Panton MSS 41 and 57 (ff. 234-343). Most of the volume appears to be in the hand of the Reverend David Jones, biographer of Dean Edwards and author of Life and Times of Griffith Jones sometime Rector of Llanddowror (London, 1902) and the dates 1889 (ff. 198, 201, 202v) and 1891 (ff. 332, 343, 'Copied by me D. J. ...') occur.
