A note-book possibly in the hand of the Reverend John Evans, Baptist minister, best known as John Evans, Abercannaid, Merthyr. The contents consist entirely of sermon notes, 1827-1829 and undated. Inset are loose items, including a note addressed by D. Rhys Stephen, from Abertawy, to the Reverend John Evans, [18]31 (accompanying a copy of a three-stanza hymn by John Morris, headed 'Hymn dduwiol a gyfansoddwyd i'r Parch. Mr. Davies, Alltwen'), and further sermon notes, [18]44 and [18]67, bearing the initials 'J.E.'., or the signature 'John Evans'.

Waterhouse on the history of the Church of England, particularly in Wales, in the seventeenth century, and minutes of various Church Defence committees and meetings held in the Rural Deanery of Ultra Aeron, Cardiganshire, 1906-1907, during the campaign for the disestablishment and disendowment of the Church in Wales.
